Sheikh Saoud lauds fencers' achievement

DOHA, July 17: HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, President of Qatar Fencing Federation (QFF), expressed his happiness for the achievement of Qatar's foil team which seized third place to secure bronze medal at the Asian Championship for Youth and Juniors held in Almaty Kazakhstan.

Sheikh Saoud said: "This medal is the first in Asian level and the most prestigious as it came responding to the result of the efforts of QFF's technical and administrative staff in addition to QFF's planning and devour to develop the game and compete on the Asian and International levels.

"Reaching at the top and compete in all championships is a strategy and goal for QFF.

"The coming phase is the most important and difficult as we are aiming to achieve good results in men's after making this achievement in juniors'. We will do our best to develop the game by participating in big championships to acquire more experience," added QFF President.
