Splendid performance by Qatar's fencing team

DOHA, October 28: Qatar’s fencing men’s and women’s team made a remarkable progress in the 14th Arab fencing Championship taking a gold and two bronze medals in Kuwait.

The Junior Epee boys team which included Jamaan Abdulla, Ali Sayyari, Mohammed Ali Mirzae, Hamad Saad (extra) beat Jordan to settle for bronze.

Junior Sabre boys team including Ahmed Abdedayem, Nasr Alsaady, Aboulla Barzegar, Abdulaziz Al-Amodi (extra) downed Jordan for the bronze medal match.

The Junior Epee girls team including Fatima Dahi, Hala Kamal, Noora Al-Hitmi, Abrar Alatif (extra) thrashed Algeria in the finals to bag gold.

Qatar’s medal tally: 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 9 Bronze
