Al Majed Jewellery and Sports Corner sign sponsorship agreement with QFF

DOHA, January 10, 2008 (Afzal Mehmood Shaikh): Al Majed Jewellery and Sports Corner signed sponsorship contract with Qatar Fencing Federation in brace of Qatar International Fencing Tournament – Grand Prix 2008.

The sponsorship contracts were signed at the Federation on Tuesday, January 8, 2008.

Mr Rashid Al Mansouri, vice - president of QFF and Mr. Jamil Al Majed from Al Majed Jewellery collectively signed the contract with attendance of QFF officials and media personnel.

"I am satisfied with the contract and thank Al Majed Jewellery for their cooperation, positive initiative and continuous support to promote sport in Qatar.

"Al Majed Jewellery should be considered as one of the first sport supportive companies, and we praise their presence at the 2008 Qatar Grand Prix," said Al Mansouri.

Jamil Al Majed also conveyed thanks to HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdurahaman Al Thani, QFF President and other QFF members for allowing the company to participate in this championship through the sponsorship agreement, and was pleased to contribute in such great sport event.

Al Mansouri called upon all national companies to engage in supporting invitations for exercising and practicing in the domestic sport activity.

Mr. Ali Abdurrahman Al Mohannadi QFF board member and chairman of marketing committee reaffirmed that three companies were accredited to support the Grand Prix 2008 on its new Editon.

Mr Fahad Al Mulla, QFF board member asserted that signature of the agreement with Al Majed Jewellery company is a good step, he also called on other local companies to take the initiative.
