Al Mansoori to lead Qatar contingent to Malaysia and Singapore

DOHA, May 27, 2008 (Afzal Mehmood Shaikh): Rashid Ali Al Mansoori – Vice President of Qatar Fencing Federation (QFF) will lead the fencing delegation to Malaysia and Singapore to compete in championships scheduled to begin from July 4, 2008.

The delegation will leave Doha on July 2, to Malaysia to compete in Malaysian Open which ends July 8, 2008. Later the contingent will head to Singapore to participate in fencing Singapore International 2008 starting from July 10.

Qatar delegation is scheduled to return on July 17, prior to their departure to Jordan for Arab Tournament for which the delegation will leave on July 28.

Al Mansoori is accompanied by Fahad Abdullah Al Mulla and Mohammad Abdullah Al Sehli - officials, Zamel Khulaiwi Al-Shammari and Khalid Suwaid Salem - referees, Ali Abdulrahman Belhaj, Alexandru Nilca and Christophe Duclos – coaches, alongside 20 boys' fencers.

Fencers squad includes Khalid Issa Al-Hamadi, Mohammed Abdulsalam Mohammed, Hamad Saad Mubarak, Abdulla Hussein Ebrahimi, Mohammed Ahmed Basahl, Jamaan Abdullah Jamaan, Mohammed Ali Mirzaei, Ali Ibrahim Sayyari, Yahia Qasim Ghalib, Nasr Awad Al-Saddy, Ahmed Abdeldayem ElSiddiq, Abdoulla Ali Berzegar, Mohammed Menaikher Al-Hajri, Ismail Salah AlAdsani, Ali Saeed Al-Asmi, Hamad Mohammed Al-Hazaa, Ahmed Fathi Mubarak, Mohammed Sami Al-Shammari, Khalifa Salem Johar and Fahad Marzooq Abdulla Al-Shahwaan all boys.

Qatar's girls fencing squad will be announced later next month.
