Inform Fencers win three medals in Singapore Open

DOHA, July 16, 2008 (Afzal Mehmood Shaikh): Qatar national fencing squad continued with their impressive form by taking two more medals at the ongoing Singapore Open Fencing championship held in Singapore.

Nasr Awad Al Saadi took silver in foil category, while compatriot Mohammed Ali Mirzai managed bronze in epee, they collectively raised medals tally to three in the tournament so far.

Qatar's team participation in Singapore tournament comes in preparation for the upcoming international championships including Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, where country will be represented by ace foilist Khalid Issa Al Hamadi.

The Singapore Open is featuring participation of seven teams including Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong , New Zeland, and Qatar.
