Ramadan Open Fencing Tournament starts September 11

DOHA, September 07, 2008 (Afzal Mehmood Shaikh): The 2008 Ramadan Open Fencing Tournament will be held from September 11 till 13, 2008 for boys' and men at the Tariq Bin Ziyad Hall in Al Sadd area.

The open tournament will witness participation of locals and expatriates in all age groups, residing in Qatar, who will lock swords in the three weapons category (Epee, Foil and Sabre).

The winner of the three-day tournament will walk away with valuable awards and prize money.

The organising committee under the aegis of HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani – President of Qatar Fencing Federation has allocated QAR 27,000 for the competition winners.

Girls' and women's tournament will be staged on Saturday, September 20 at the same venue.
