Ramadan Open Fencing Tournament concludes

DOHA, September 15, 2008: Ramadan Open Fencing Championship for boys' and men, organised by Qatar Fencing Federation (QFF) was concluded at QFF Training hall in Al Sadd on Sunday, September 13.

The three-day event witnessed competitions in all three weapons category (Epee, Foil and Sabre).

Mr. Saleh Al Hemaidi - QFF Secretary General crowned the triumphant fencers.

The 2008 Ramadan Open Fencing Tournament will be held from September 11 till 13, 2008 at the Tariq Bin Ziyad Hall.

The open tournament witnessed participation of locals and expatriates in all age groups, residing in Qatar competing in all the three weapons category (Epee, Foil and Sabre).

The organising committee under the aegis of HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani – President of Qatar Fencing Federation has allocated QAR 27,000 for the competition winners.

Girls' and women's tournament will be staged on Saturday, September 20 at the same venue.
