HE Sheikh Saoud honours Al Bayan School students

DOHA, April 01, 2009: HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the President of Qatar Fencing Federation and Secretary General of the Qatar Olympic Committee honoured students of Al Bayan Primary School for Girls who secured top places in gymnastics, fencing and athletics competitions during the second edition of Schools Olympic Day on Wednesday.

The honouring of the talented students reflects the concern of QOC Secretary General to encourage and support young talents, who can in near future represent the state of Qatar in major international competitions.

Ms. Hassa Abdullah, Director of Al Bayan Educational complex, Ms. Maryam Al Emadi, Director of the School, Sawsan Al Abdullah and Norah Al Anzi, Physical education teachers greeted HE Sheikh Saoud when he arrived at the school.

The honouring ceremony was attended by Mr. Fahad Al Mulla, the Acting Head of QOC Domestic Relation section and Khowla Khalid, the Acting Head of QOC Foreign Relations section.
