Federation honours Schools Olympic Day medalists

DOHA, May 23, 2009: At an honouring ceremony, the Qatar Fencing Federation honoured students from Salah Eldeen School for primary and preparatory stages.

The federation held the ceremony in an attempt to encourage school students who clinched medals in the fencing finals of the 2nd Schools Olympic Day programme that was held in March 09' at the Aspire Dome.

Mr. Yousef Al Jaber, headmaster of the school hailed QFF efforts in backing school sport and supporting students to practice the sport.

QFF secretary general, Saleh Amer Al Hemaidi appreciated the fruitful cooperation between the school and QFF, as he promised that the federation is keen to discover the talent in students and develop their skills and experience.

The ceremony was also attended by number of educationists, QFF representative, teaching staff, and students.
