Al Jaber meets with POC member

DOHA, July 09, 2009: Mr. Khalil Al Jaber, Director of QOC Sport Affairs Department met with Mr. Dawoud Al Metwali, Member of Palestinian Olympic Committee (POC), President of Palestinian Fencing Federation and Vice President of Arab Fencing Federation on Thursday at the sidelines of his visit to Doha for the Arab U16 Fencing Championship.

Al Jaber welcomed the guest and conveyed to him the greetings of HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the QOC Secretary General.

Al Jaber applauded the cooperation between QOC and POC as Qatar will host the 12th Edition of Pan Arab Games in 2011.

POC Member expressed his happiness for visiting Doha praising the Qatari hospitality and success in organising the Arab Fencing Championship.

Al Metwali lauded the Qatari support to the Palestinian sports movement and building Doha Municipal Stadium in Sakhnin City.

The POC Member also sent invitation to HE Sheikh Saoud to visit the Ramallah city.

At the end of the meeting, Al Jaber handed over the QOC Shield to the visitors.

The meeting was also attended by Fahad Al Mulla, Board Member of Qatar Fencing Federation and Mrs. Ghaydaa Al Jarar, Head of Palestinian delegation.
