Mubarak and Mirza shine in Arab Fencing championship

DOHA, July 09, 2009: Qatar's Hamad Saad Mubarak and Mohammad Ali Mirza added two medals for the Qatari team in the Arab U16 Fencing Championship on Thursday.

Mubarak claimed silver in boys foil event, while Mirza took bronze in boys epee competition.

Fahad Abu Assaf of Jordan won gold in foil, while Abdulrahman Al Alfasi of Kuwait and Mustafa Mahmoud of Egypt claimed bronze medals.

Kuwait's Fahad Hassan clinched gold in epee competition, while his compatriot Abdulaziz Al Shatti won silver.

The championship will be concluded on Saturday.
