President meets FIE Vice-President in Doha

DOHA, November 15, 2009: His Excellency Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Secretary-General of Qatar Olympic Committee met on Sunday at his office Italian Mr. Giorgio Scarso, the Vice-President of Federation Internationale D’Escrime FIE.

Sheikh Saoud welcomed the Italian visitors and reviewed the mechanisms of boosting mutual cooperation and relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two officials agreed upon series of ways to exchange experience, and hold joint fencing camps. Sheikh Saoud applauded the Italian dominance in the fencing sport.

The FIE vice–president praised Qatar’s comprehensive development in all aspects including civil infrastructure, sport facilities and high professional vision in hosting international sport events.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Abdulrahman Mosallam Al Dosari, Head of Public Relations and Marketing department.
