Al Hamadi wins foil gold at the Arab Championship in Syria

DAMASCUS, Syria, December 04, 2009: Qatar’s Khalid Al Hamadi won foil gold on the opening day of the Arab Fencing Championship taking place in Damascus, Syria.

Qatar's Ahmad Abduldayem took silver in sabre competition, while Abdulla Burzakar bagged bronze in the same event.

The opening ceremony of the championship was held at Al Faihaa indoor hall with participation of 12 countries including Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia and Syria.
