Qataris grab 12 medals in Syria

DAMASCUS, Syria, December 06, 2009: Qatar fencing team raised their medals tally to 12 at the Arab Fencing Championship that is taking place in Damascus, Syria.

In Sunday’s competitions, the Qatari fencers captured three new medals each in men’s foil, women’s epee, and women’s sabre respectively.

The prestigious Arab event is featuring participation of 12 countries including Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia and hosts Syria.
