Higher organising committee from Qatar Fencing Federation (QFF) had put in great efforts to successfully accomplish the games in an emphatic fashion.

The events were witnessed by numerous locals and resident of Qatar, including school children who were sent special invitations to attend the event.

2007 Grand Prix received enormous response from world’s elite fencers, nearly 131 fencers from 31 countries participated in the event, which had surpassed the previous participation records.

"This is the fourth consecutive year of the fencing event in Qatar and we are delighted with the overall arrangements, we received 151 fencers from 31 countries which broke all previous records of the partaking fencers, on the top of this all players paid their subscription fees so there was not much funding from QFF in the event," explained QFF President, His Excellency Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.
